L’Atelier BNP Paribas to host the presidential delegation on Wednesday, 12 February during the President’s visit to Silicon Valley
The programme will include: 2 hours of meetings and discussions
with French CEOs of startups and large companies
that are driving innovation in the Valley
Paris, 6 February 2014 – As part of François Hollande’s visit to the United States on 10-12 February, L’Atelier BNP Paribas, the technology watch unit of BNP Paribas, will host the presidential delegation on Wednesday, 12 February, during its trip to San Francisco.
The aim of this first visit to California by a French president in 30 years is to support and promote French startups, which have created a “French Tech Hub” in Silicon Valley. Following a lunch with the American giants of the Internet (Google, Facebook, Twitter and Mozilla, among others), the French delegation will visit L’Atelier BNP Paribas’ offices in San Francisco to engage with the local innovation ecosystem.
The delegation, which will include the President and several Ministers, will meet for two hours with both innovative French startups and French business leaders who have been established in Silicon Valley for many years. They will discuss the energy and vitality of the new technology sector and the uniquely French strengths that startups and large national groups can leverage across the Atlantic.
