A new Motor Claim functionnality from ICICI Lombard

Mumbai based ICICI Lombard launches a Motor Insurance mobile app. It allows customers to intimate a claim directly through the company's mobile app 'Insure'. The customer needs to download the app on a mobile phone or a tablet device, take a picture of the damaged vehicle, communicate his version of the accident/damage through a voice recording facility within the app and send the claim intimation from the app itself. According to the insurance company, this is the first time in India that any general insurer is offering claim intimation facility through a mobile app. The app allows customers to locate the nearest network garage, hospital or ICICI Lombard branch through special geo-tagging software embedded in the app itself . The Motor Insurance mobile app will be available to customers using smart phones/tablets running on Android as well as iOS.

TimesMobile introduces GreetZAP

TimesMobile Ltd. launchs a greetings and gifting mobile app, GreetZAP. The app introduces a new concept of Voice Cards, which enables users to record a message and send it through physical Voice Cards, that are home delivered. The GreetZAP app is available to Android users. The company also plans to offer the app to iPhone users in the next few weeks. For users who don't use the phone, they can use the features through web. In addition to this, users can send mobile greetings by dialing 58888066 from their mobile phones. This mobile service is available on all major mobile operators, viz., Airtel, Reliance, Tata, Uninor, etc and in multiple languages (English, Hindi, Kannada, Oriya...). TimesMobile Limited is a venture of the Indian media group Times Group. secures funding, an Indian ticketing & event management solutions company has received funding from technology investors to further expand its reach to new segments. The new investors include active angel investors Rajan Anandan, Ravi Gururaj & others from HBS Alumni Angels, Blume Ventures, Srijan Capital and Kishore Warrier. Ravi Gururaj is joining the board of Directors of The majority of the investment will be used to launch new products to serve segments such as training & educational institutions, seminars, workshops, lifestyle activities, last minute tickets, adventurous trips and social activities. Part of the investment will go towards providing solutions for last-mile services such as entry management and Box-Office.

uniRow releases a webinar and training platform

uniRow released the next version of its browser-based video collaboration product. Code named Seabiscuit, this version brings collaboration and interactivity for webinars and online training sessions and collaboration sessions. The tool can be used to host sessions for 1000+ participants. Seabiscuit is now on HTML5 and integrat Toll-Free Dial-in. Participants can give instant feedback or request the presenter to go slow, repeat or speed up. uniRow has also added support for recording playback on any smartphone or tablet device.
