When you are close to the feminist movement, it's always a pleasure to see that in big corporations the power is increasingly in the hands of women. It's why I like Women To Watch.
Women to watch is a global contest with local roots, dedicated to marketing and advertising. It's organized by Ad Age Magazine and Thoughtful China. This week will mark the launch of the 4rth edition of the contest, and the competition is tough. Because in China, to put your brand in the spotlight is harder than everywhere (all the big brands are here), and that it's extremely linked to the Digital (as the Chinese territory is to big to set up retail shops everywhere).
Included in the list of candidates are the head of OMD, as well as the heads of marketing for Richemont, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Procter&Gamble, Volkswagen, Gap, and other esteemed companies. But when you are close to the feminist movement and you're French, it's always a pleasure to point out that a French woman, Mykim Chikli from ZenithOptimedia China, is there to represent the flag. Having arrived in China 3 years ago as Chief Innovation Officer, she is now the CEO of the China office.
