Woonoz (http://www.woonoz.com), created in January 2000 by the Paris-based
startup NBD Net founded in November 1999 by Nicolas Boutet (Managing
Director), Bertrand Dienis and Laurence Galligo is an on-line valuation
site, free of charge, which puts internauts seeking personalized
information in contact with experts qualified to reply.
The "requester" asks a question within one of the areas proposed. Woonoz
identifies the experts capable of replying and sets them up in
competition. The valuators selected send the requester an outline of their
reply, along with their identity details, giving information on their
qualifications, professional and extra-professional experiences The
requester then chooses and together they determine the assessor’s
remuneration. The reply is then sent by private “chat” or by e-mail. The
customer can also appraise the assessor..
The first version of the site was launched on February 25th to ensure the
initial registration of valuators and customers. Woonoz.com will be
officially available on-line in April 2000. The English and German
versions will be launched within the year and the Spanish and Italian
versions in early 2001.
The site’s income is earned through the commission charged on transactions
and through advertising.
An initial financial package of 4 million Euros is planned, in partnership
with Défi Start Up, to launch Woonoz in France and to open the English and
German sites.
