The To Luna site was created in January 2000 by Thuyly Lë, a 28-year-old
woman, whose previous work experience includes having worked for Yahoo!,
Lanminds and Andersen Consulting. It is not just a site for interactive
exchange of opinions, but a real community, where all internauts can
express themselves freely, give their opinions, advice and recommendations
on products and services.
A fidelity program will ensure the quality and quantity of contributions.
The site is currently being introduced to specifically targeted
communities. Its official launch, with several thousand opinions, is
planned for early April.
The company will mainly make its profits from affiliation programs with
merchant and community sites.
Several large partnerships are currently being negotiated with portals,
on-line and off-line distributors and other communities.
Other versions, notably Spanish, Italian and Northern European versions
are expected to be launched in the near future.
